One Week...

It's Friday.
One week until I no longer have to go to school.
I can't believe I'm this close.
Anyway,
my dad's in the hospital.
But he's going to be alright.
In class today we took the final survey.
Finished that up.
The last blog I posted mentioned going to court.
Well I did.
They dropped all the charges.
Last time in class,
Kara and I made a little video
explaining our game topic and
process.

Have court Thursday.
Have to present games tomorrow.
Practicing on that in about half an hour.
We never did find the code to piece
these puzzles together.
So I guess I'll wing it.

I'm looking forward to it being a nice day.

We are trying to get our game parts
put together.
No luck so far.
I've tried every single code I could find.
We have to present our games next Wednesday.
One week til then.
And about 3 full weeks of school left for me.
It's crazy.

It's Tuesday.
April 26th.
That's right,
only about a month of school left
for me.
If I graduate,
that is.
But no worries.
My grades are fine.
Not awesome,
but fine.
Also,
I got my ACT Test score in the mail yesterday.
I got a 21.
I'm pretty happy about that.
Anyhow,
about our game progress in class.
Where should I start?
Well nothing I have tried will work.
So,
I guess I'll keep on keepin' on.
In the meantime,
Kara and Amber are making another two portions
to the game.
I believe there will be some drag and drop in there.
I would love to give more information than that,
but honestly I don't know what exactly they're doing.

It's Tuesday the 19th.
Which means tomorrow is my favorite
day of the year.
Today in class I'm going to attempt,
once again,
to find a code that will jump me to the
next screen when the score equals 15.
So I've looked all over the place for
the infamous
'if score = x then frame = y' code.
No luck,
of course.
So I'm going to keep trying.
Also, Mrs. Neal wants us to show
the educational value in our games.

It's Wednesday.
I've been trying all period,
with no luck,
to find an ActionScript code that
will take me to the next frame when
the score reaches a certain variable.
It didn't even slightly work.
I suppose I'll try next class period.

I need to be able to remember that
no matter what happens,
life goes on.
But some things aren't so easy to just
forget about.
And I'm done having to act like I'm
the father in this.
I have way too much to worry about already.

In class today I made a few new
scenes too our game.
Then I combined all the scenes and
buttons we made.

It's Tuesday.
Today everyone's trying to finish up their mini games.
You can find the little one I made Friday on my Wiki page.
Mrs. Neal told us to make somewhat of a rich blog.
So that means here pretty soon you're gonna start seeing links like this one to my Wiki.
Or maybe even one that goes straight to my new mini game.
I didn't have much of a hard time making this one because
pretty much what I did was take the code from my
old mini game that I made last year.
It's just a matter of copying and pasting codes and
rename instances names in the code itself.
Not too difficult.

I do not have Globaloria today.
But if you've ever read my blog,
you know that I tend to blog even on these off days.
I need to update my intern log today.
I have been slipping behind a little this weekend on work.
Today is also a busy day.

I know we are all thankful for that.
We all get a few days away from teachers,

regulations,
and school lunch food.
But that doesn't always mean you
should take a break from doing things for Globaloria.
Let's say you're sitting at your house and there's

Why not go blog or post something on your Wiki page?

I know.
Anyhow Mrs. Neal has asked me to answer some
questions and make a rich blog post.

thanks to the ridiculous weather
we are experiencing.

It's Wednesday.
2 weeks exactly until sweet freedom.
We didn't have school yesterday
because it was Election Day.
I sent in my October invoice a couple of days ago.
I have been doing a lot of work from home.
Today in class we have been choosing team names
and game topics.
Xavier and I are on a team.
We decided to do our game on people who
suffer from dyslexia.
Our game is going to involve unscrambling words,
rhyming,
remembering sequences,
etc.
Because research shows that the only effective
'cure' for dyslexia is repetitive practice in the area
that they have difficulty in.
Wish us luck with this.

It's Tuesday.
I do not have Globaloria today.
But that doesn't stop me from doing things for
the World Wide Workshop.
I've been browsing through schools on my School Beat.
I also need to update my Intern Log.
I enjoy being an intern.
Such a great opportunity.

Today has been good so far.
I just keep my head up and think,
I don't have very much longer.
6 weeks and 1 day left until liberation.

It's Monday.
Wish it was Friday.
But hey,
at least I have something to look forward to.
Speaking of which,
I will be 18 years old in 6 weeks and 2 days.
Sweet sweet liberation day!
Anyhow,
today in class we went through the whole classes Wiki pages.
Most people seem to know what they're doing.
Then Mrs. Neal had me tell the class what I do for my internship and whatnot.
I also looked over some school pages from my School Beat.
Doddridge has a student,
Jonstewartpwns,
or something to that nature,
who seems to be somewhat obsessed with the idea of the CIA watching
his every move.
This is rather humorous,
yes.
But,
is there some truth to it?
I believe there is a weebit of reality to his insane statements about our government.
Keep those eyes peeled.

It's Thursday.
I sent in my invoice yesterday.
I'm excited for the schools who are doing
good in the Globaloria class.
Keep up the good work guys.

Also,
I haven't talked much about how I'm doing personally
this year.
My living conditions are not what I would prefer.
But that will be fixed on November 17th.
Apart from that,
I have been doing pretty good.

It's Tuesday.
Yesterday I had an Intern call and I finished
up my invoice for the month of September.
Today I've had some connection difficulties,
but we got them all worked out.
I'm looking forward to another good year in Globaloria.
And once again,
working for the World Wide Workshop is an
amazing opportunity.
I'm off to monitor some school activity.

Not A Good Way To Be, But Hey...

It's Friday.
So far,
I'm having a good day.
After school I'm supposed to go to the football game
after I go to Rupert for a little bit.
I went to Wester Greenbrier the other day to see how
they are doing.
A little check since I gave the speech last year.
They are doing really good.
And in class today,
newer students are learning some Flash basics.
Hopefully we can get rolling soon.

It's Monday.
I hate Mondays.
Then again,
I'm starting to hate everyday that is not a weekend.

In class today,
I was helping students who are new to the class.
They make my job pretty easy though.
Most of them are pretty computer savvy.
We didn't have any difficulties at all today.

I did not have Globaloria today because it's a B Day.
But that doesn't mean I neglect my duties.
If I'm around a computer and have some spare time,
you better bet I'll be doing what I can.
So today I have changed a few things on my Wiki and helped
a few people out with adding an avatar to their pages.
I'm not lazy.

Today is somewhat of a "slow day" for me.
I am monitoring schools and updating my blog and wiki.
This year's new students are doing pretty well.
I've noticed that many of the middle schools seem to
catch on pretty quickly.
For the most part,
they have edited their Wikis,
blogs,
and so on.
So that's a huge plus.
Keep up the good work kids.

Today is one of the first days we've actually gotten
to get started in class.
The wireless is no better than it was last year.
Which is promising of course.
But,
it seems to work pretty well on my netbook.
Today everyone's trying to get they're Wiki's and Gmail's set up.
I'd say pretty soon they'll get they're Bloggers set up.
Which is my favorite part of the class pretty much.
Keeping you updated.
But as of right now,
me and Xavier are way ahead of everyone else.
So,
it's easy sailing from here for awhile.
